  1. Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker:

If you are new to the hype of instant pot and wondering why it is so famous around the globe, then let me tell you it is one of the best pressure cookers available in the market.

The quality you get at such affordable rates, this definitely beats its competitors. They also deserve all this hype, and why shouldn’t they? You just have to set the requirements and forget about it.

One of the best products from the instant pot company is their Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1, which claims to replace up to 7 vessels in your kitchen, reducing your storage issues, lessening your time constraints, and saving energy. The food you used to cook for 2-3 hours will now be cooked in less than half the time.

Even if you don’t think that instant pot duo is a necessity for you, this pot is a dream to have in your kitchen, and who doesn’t want to have a hands-off experience when cooking.

There was no standing for hours in front of heat and then waiting for food to cook while everyone was hungry.

This newly designed pot is specifically made for you to become the best partner in your everyday kitchen chores and make cooking a lot easier, even for the new beginners and avid cooks.

To understand the anatomy and performance of the instant pot duo much better, let’s discuss its different functions, design, and performance. You will see for yourself how this pot makes magic in your kitchen.

DESIGN:

Let’s just agree that some electric pressure cookers are not that attractive when it comes to their exterior design, but the Instant Pot Duo is definitely a beautiful piece of creation with a stainless steel silver finish. It is an overall silver pot with a black lid for aesthetic views.

For a contemporary kitchen like mine, this pot is definitely a perfect fit that goes so well with the silver and black décor and gives a very sleek look. It also comes in various sizes like 3, 6, and 8 quarts, so they will also be a better fit for smaller kitchens.

The insert pot is made up of stainless, so no food sticks to the base, and that’s why it is so easy to clean. Pot Duo has a huge LED interface on the front of the pot, which is a simple control panel with 7 easy to use programs.

These preset programs are slow to cook, pressure cook, rice making, yogurt making, steam, delay, keep warm, and cancel to disregard all the options selected in the past. The pot is very easy to use as it doesn’t confuse its user with lots of confusing buttons and options.

A pressure release indicator is also included in the updated design, which indicates if the pot is coming up to pressure and when it’s going down, so you know the inner pressure levels of your pot.

PERFORMANCE:

We already talked about how this pot reduces your cooking time and serves greatly in terms of energy efficiency in terms of performance.

It is claimed that this pot can reduce up to 70% of your cooking time, and we decided to put that a check by cooking different things in this pot. It also claims to reduce your energy units by 30% as this pot is energy efficient.

We decided to pressure cook beef stew and, for that, selected the already available beef preset on the interface and let it do its thing.

After the food was done, the beef was succulent, meaty, and cooked perfectly. We also made rice in this cooker by using the rice-making preset, and the rice came out soft and fluffy in just 20 minutes.

The soups when cookers were done only in 15 minutes and came out with such a velvety consistency that is impossible to achieve with stovetop cooking techniques.

The steaming was our decided preset for the veggies, so we loaded the veggies into the steaming basket provided in the package and selected the steam preset.

The vegetables became soft and also retained their nutrition.  We just had to twist the lid into its locking position to seal the lid, and it seals.

SIZE:

  • The instant pot duo comes in four sizes 3, 6, 8, and 10 quarts.
  • The ease of having the smaller options helps you a lot in reducing your storage issues.
  • The large size might be a bit bulky, but it is great for commercial use and for cooking large amounts of food.
  • Whereas the small sizes depend upon how many people you are cooking for.
  • Usually, I cook for 4-6 people daily in my house, so the 6 quarts pot is my ideal choice.
  • The 3 quart is ideal for an individual portion of food and is optimally used in hotel rooms and dorms or while traveling.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • This pot is heavily filled with 13 safety mechanisms, including heat-resistant handles, pressure indicators, automatic electricity, and a pressure turn-off fuse.
  • All the safety features ensure your protection and make sure that you don’t burn yourself and keep yourself safe from any pressure cooker-related mishap.
  • Our final verdict for the instant pot duo is that this is a simple, no-fuss cooker that has simple and basic features which allow you to have a very smooth and quick cooking experience.
  • I have literally zero complaints, and I would suggest that if you’re thinking about getting a new cooker, then this might be the perfect fit for you, and that too in a restricted budget range.
Pros
  • Good for beginners.
  • Multiple sizes are available.
  • Affordable price.
  • User friendly.
Cons
  • The inner pot doesn’t have handles to lift it out.

  1. Presto 12 Qt Electric Pressure Canner:

Presto is a brand used and trusted by 1000s of customers and has been around in the industry for quite a long time. Presto has always produced canners and pressure cookers of high quality and always gives their customers what they want.

There might be many canner brands in the market, but when you’re looking for the perfect one with all the features and amazing quality, then presto’s digital canner is the way to go.

Even though you can do canning in any digital cooker if it reaches a certain pressure level, electric cookers are usually not capable enough to raise the pressure that much.

Presto produces the only electric canner that performs amazingly overall and satisfies the promise of quality. Presto has been a part of my life, and this electric canner is definitely here to change the game.

Canning is something which is always done in big batches, so size and pressure levels are the key features to make sure in this appliance.

Canners are usually stovetop, and they get pretty difficult to lift when filled with water, but with the help of a digital canner, you don’t have to worry about lifting it up or moving it from the stovetop to the counter.

Presto manufactured the first digital pressure canner, which is approved by USDA for low acid food canning like meat, poultry, and tomatoes.

DESIGN:

To talk about the design of this big boy, it has a black stainless steel body which gives this pot a very sleek look. The front interface is a bright LED panel with a timer showing how much time is left and even the pressure setting.

The new and very accessible addition to the interface is the knob which is used to adjust the timer and pressure levels for canning. The lid of this pot is also black, with markers showing the lid’s closing and opening positions.

This pot design is so useful that you can even use it for water bath canning and not just pressure canning. The LED panel displays six different options for you to choose from so that you will have an easier operation.

PERFORMANCE:

Your fresh garden harvest is brimming with fresh fruits and vegetables, and you have no idea how to stock them in a way to make them last longer. Sure, you will give some to your friends and family, but most of the harvest won’t last for very long.

An easier and quicker way of resolving that issue is to pressure can all your vegetables and fruits so that they can be stored on the shelves for up to 6 months.

I decided to test out the digital pressure canner from presto for the best canning process. The brand has always provided extremely good quality and durable cookers, and I am pretty sure that this appliance will be no less.

I have loads of fresh zucchini, lettuce, carrots, and turnips from my harvest of this year, and canning is the only viable option to preserve all this freshness for a longer time.

Presto canner promises quick canning without the hassle of having to deal with stovetop dials and knobs or scratching your glass stove range.

This pot is a 12 quart pot, so I was able to fit 4 quart-sized mason jars in the pot, all filled with fresh root vegetables. With the help of the can option on the pot, I regulated the time and pressure levels for the process and just let it work.

The best part about this canner is that I don’t have to check it every often to see if it’s all working accordingly. During the process, I noticed zero pressure leakage, my jars came out beautiful at the end, and there was no siphoning on the lids.

The process was quick and very, very easy to operate, and that’s why the overall performance of this pot is definitely better than the stovetop canners, and even with the durability and quality of this pot. It will keep working for a very long time as the body is made of stainless steel and promises durability.

SIZE:

  • The size of this pot is 12 quart, and canners should always be in large sizes like this because what’s the point of canning food if not done in large batches at one time.
  • This canner was able to fit up to 4 quart-sized jars, and if you use a steaming rack, then you can double the amount of jars by stacking on top of another.

SAFETY FEATURES:

  • The canner comes with 10 included safety measures which include automatic lid-locking and a temperature sensor which doesn’t let you open the lid until the pressure has reached down.
  • This pot works great as it maintained the pressure level, and there was no gas leakage as that can be hazardous.
  • The steam vent is also automatic, and the steam releases upward, not on the handle.
Pros
  • Affordable pricing.
  • Can also be used as a water bath canner by removing the lid.
  • Spacious with huge capacity.
  • Safe and easy to use.
  • Instructions manual provided in the package.
  • Energy and time-efficient.
Cons
  • Racks for double stacking are not provided with the package.

The instant pot duo plus made my kitchen life much more exciting, and now I look forward to cooking loads of food and with so many newly added options, the boundaries to exploration are endless.

I got my instant pot duo plus as a gift from a very old friend and never thought about trying it out until now, and this review is going to help you majorly in deciding the best pot for your everyday chores.

The design of this pot is a modern and a very sleek look which goes with every kind of kitchen and home. Even if you have a small kitchen, this pot will fit right in, and surely you will love this pot’s stainless steel finish. The silver color is paired with a black lid top, including a pressure release valve.

This feature, where the pot shows you the heat level, pressure level, and progress bar, assures you and keeps you informed about what’s happening inside.

Another best part about this pot is its automatic sealing lid so that you don’t have to remember doing that every time you start cooking. Even the inner pot is made up of stainless steel, and it locks at the base so that the pot doesn’t revolve when you’re stirring.

PERFORMANCE:

Okay, so this is where the real powers of the duo plus shine through. This wonder of a pot combines 9 different appliances into one and performs each of that functions exceptionally well. This pot works as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, sauté, steamer, sous vide, yogurt maker, rice maker, cake maker, and sterilizer.

And even if you’re not satisfied with this many features, it also displays delayed cooking and keeps warm settings which are very useful when you’re a working woman.

As I got the duo plus pot as a gift from a friend, I didn’t use it for quite some time, but today I have decided to try it and review it for you guys.

The first thing I did was cook rice in the cooker. The recipe manual in the package instructed clearly about the water to rice ratio, and with the help of that and the preset, it was very easy to cook rice, and I had fresh aromatic rice in just 20 minutes.

Mostly instant pots just work for savory dishes, but this pot also works like a convection oven and can bake yummy moist cakes for you too.

I chose to bake a simple vanilla sponge cake in this pot, and with the help of the instructions manual, I made the batter, greased the pan, filled the pot with water, and placed the pan on the trivet.

The cake-making preset clearly knew what to do, and in just 15 minutes, I was graced with a beautiful, soft and delicious vanilla sponge cake which tasted brilliant.

In addition, there is also a start button on the pot so that it’s confirmed that the process has started.

As far as the programs go, they are even customizable, so if you’re cooking something which is not on the program list, you can always select your desired pressure and timer, and when you’re cooking the next time, the pot will remember all settings, Pretty smart.

After cooking rice, I can just select the keep warm option, and my food will stay warm for a long time.  As a busy working woman, I don’t have time to cook food in the mornings, so when I’m rushing for work.

I just put the raw ingredients into the pot and prep it completely for the cooking process, and after that, just select the delay cooking option. The delay option works for up to 24 hours, and I can select the program for whenever it wants to start cooking, and all the process will be done without me even being there to start it manually.

  1. GoWISE USA 8-Quarts 12-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker:

In the earlier times, pressure cooking was considered a fashion and technique of the older times, but nowadays, they are more likely to be used by workaholic and busy families.

Pressure cooking is a preferred cooking method of modern times as it makes your life easier by cooking quick meals and when the pressure cooker is electric, that makes your life even easier.

These nifty gadgets fit perfectly with our fast-paced lifestyle and serve as a great kitchen partner for busy people like me.

The dire need to get fast-cooked, hot meals lead to an explosion in the pressure cooking market, and many companies were born. One of them is the GoWISE USA.

The GoWISE pressure cookers are extremely versatile and can be used for every kind of cooking method. Whether it is slow cooking or pressure cooking, its 12-in-1 feature allows you to experiment with multiple food options.

Like the other cookers we discussed here, goWISE is also a multicooker and performs amazingly in all 12 cooking functions. Whether it is steaming, rice making, yogurt making, or any kind of meat, this pressure cooker will always be by your side, ready to go with just one click.

DESIGN:

This pot is available in two different finishes, the natural stainless steel body, and the copper finish. Both of them are designed to be adjustable as per your kitchen aesthetics, and the stainless steel pot’s silver finish goes so well with my new and modern contemporary kitchen.

I was super excited to see that it has 12 functioning food presets, which makes cooking quite easier for even a beginner.

The interface displays an LED panel which seems quite simple to understand. It has two digital screens, one shows the time left in cooking, and the other shows the pressure level inside the pot. Knowledge of both these levels is pretty crucial when you’re cooking a new recipe.

The interface also includes 12 functions which include, rice maker, yogurt maker, slow cook, pressure cook, delay cooking, porridge, rice, multigrain, steam, sauté, meat and poultry. The delay timer option is my favorite as it cooks food even when I’m not there.

PERFORMANCE:

When testing the overall efficiency of this pot, we checked what voltage it works at, and 1600 volts is somewhat energy-saving for such a big pot.

My favorite thing to cook in this pot is a whole load of beef chili. Remembers, this pot also works as a slow cooker, so you can even keep it working for the whole night, and in the morning, you will be graced with delicious and hearty food.

For testing the rice cooker function of this pot, we cooked rice in the whole pot, and it cooked 5 pounds of rice in just 23 minutes, and that’s pretty surprising for a cooker of this size, cooking that much amount of food. So it’s needless to say that this cooker builds pressure very quickly.

We tried cooking wings in the cooker as well by setting the poultry preset. The cooker cooked the chicken so well that it was falling off the bone, and the flavor was infused in every single bite.

Even if you don’t want to rely on the presets completely, there’s always the customizing option for timer and pressure, and you can set those according to the recipe you’re making.

The sauté option allows you to brown your food from the outside, and it even makes the food a bit crispy. In terms of time and energy, this pot is very efficient and works amazingly in terms of performance. Its inner pot is made up of stainless steel with a ceramic coating and can be removed easily for simpler cleaning.

SIZE:

  • The GoWISE 12-quart pot is definitely a very large pot as compared to the other pots I have tried and tested.
  • It also has the ability to handle double the amount of food than the previous pots I tested.
  • In this big-sized pot, I can cook food for 12-15 people, and this will still cook my food faster than other cookers.
  • This pot is ideal for big families and can be used to cook big batches of food for family lunches.
  • Its size is one of the important reasons I really like this pot as I cook loads of beef chili for the family get-together, and this pot makes sure that I’m able to cook loads of food in no time.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • The manufacturers have added plenty of safety mechanisms to save you from any unforeseen happenings.
  • It features automatic lid-locking where you cannot open the lid until the pressure is reduced, and the pot won’t start working until the lid is secured properly and sealed right.
  • It also includes heat-resistant side handles, and for easy lifting, the handle on top is also heat inductive.
Pros
  • Lots of functions, including canning.
  • Safety approved.
  • Reasonably priced.
Cons
  • I experienced some issues with the setting of pressure release valves.
  1. Instant Pot Duo Crisp XL 8Qt 11-in-1:

Here we have the amazing instant pot duo crisp, which cooks your food perfectly, fries it up, and crisps it perfectly to give it extra texture and a different taste.

You can never go wrong when using instant pot duo, and even when it comes with an extra crisping lid which doubles as an air fryer and steamer, it’s like a cherry on top.

This pot is a multi cooker, and if you remove the air frying lid, it can replace most of the cooking utensils in your kitchen.

Instant pot is a brand trusted by everyone, and we all know that they provide what they promise, and their cookers are always top tier with almost zero negative reviews.

This pot can even perform more functions than its predecessors and provide you with 11-in-1 multi-functioning presets.

DESIGN:

This duo crisp pot is actually the most innovative pot amongst the family as it combines two techniques in one appliance. Adding air frying option to an ordinary pressure cooker is an absolutely genius idea.

The pot comes with two separate removable lids, which form a hinge joint with the pot. One is the ordinary pressure cooking lid with the pressure releasing vents, and the other is the large dome-shaped air frying lid.

The pot is actually pretty smart and can guess what lid you’re using and won’t start performing the functions of the other lid. The other design of this pot is pretty similar to its siblings, instant pot duo and duo plus, and the usage is fairly natural.

The LED panel on the front is not overcrowded with multiple buttons and options and is a simple and easy-to-understand digital display.

PERFORMANCE:

I have a lot of expectations from this hyped pot, and going towards the trying part of the procedure, I read a lot of reviews about this hell of a pot and found zero bad reviews.

To my surprise, all of the functions work so well that I’m thinking about transferring all my cooking to the instant pot.

The air frying part is not complicated as well and can be used in several ways. You can either place the air frying basket inside the pot or just place your food in the insert pot. Because of its large size, I can fit lots of food, and this pot will cook it all in no time.

This pot also has the sous vide option, which is not available in most of the instant pots, so this definitely is an upgrade.

To try out this pot’s pressure cooking and air frying performance, I decided to cook some baby back pork ribs in the cooker and then air fry them later to get a crispy layer on top. I placed the ribs on the air frying rack and cooked my sauce in the bottom so that the ribs were not overcooked.

After cooking them properly, I gave it a bit of cooking time in the air frying process by changing the lid, and no doubt, the ribs were cooked perfectly with a little bit of crispy skin on the outside and succulent meat on the inside.

This pot also has a baking option, and the air frying lid makes the pot work like a convection oven, so baking cookies seemed like a fair trial option. I placed the air frying lid on the top and placed the cookies, half on the bottom of the air frying rack and half on the broiler/dehydrating tray.

The top cookies cooked a bit more quickly as the hot air blew from the top, while the cookies in the bottom section needed a couple more minutes, so I cooked them for a longer time. The cookies turned out to be pretty soft and delicious and also cooked quicker as compared to a traditional oven.

SIZE:

  • The duo crisp pot comes in 8 quarts and 11-quart sizes, and I love the fact that they are big pots and are very useful for cooking optimal quantity meals for a family.
  • Their size and capacity also play a huge role in air frying.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • This pot includes over 10 safety mechanisms. It has to overheat protection, so when the inner temperature of the pot gets too high, it automatically switches off the power.
  • The safe locking lid is another great safety feature.
  • If you haven’t added enough liquid in the pot, it will detect that and indicate a sign and stop working to prevent your food from burning. It also has automatic pressure release vents.
  • The inner pot is also removable and very easy to clean.
  • The final verdict on this pot is that I will recommend all of us to stick to using instant pots as they are easy, affordable, and quick.
  • If you’re thinking of buying two separate appliances for your air frying and pressure cooking needs, then don’t do that to yourself or to your kitchen.
  • Make your life easier and get the Instant Pot Duo Crisp as it takes up lesser counter space in your kitchen, costs way less than other fancy cookers, and does so much more than any other ordinary cooker or air fryer.
Pros
  • Reliably great results.
  • Simplified interface.
  • Air fryer addition makes it far more versatile.
  • 11-quart model is practical without being outright huge.
Cons
  • Delay cooking and keep warm functions do not work with the air frying lid.

PERFORMANCE:

This cooker was actually suggested to me buy a chef friend of mine, and they swore by the amazing wonders this pot can do. Of course, I have to first test and see if it’s even worth it.

The material felt quite durable and strong at first glance, and even the inner pot feels strong and made up of good material.

According to the reviews, as this pot works best for meat, I decided to cook beef stew in this pot.

Using the sauté option, I browned the meat and onions, filled the pot with enough water, and selected the high-pressure setting to cook.

The beef was cooked tenderly in just 30 minutes, and the pressure releasing option is also very safe and easy to use and works automatically.

The dish was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful.

The delay timer is actually my favorite function of this pot, as that gives you such a hands-off experience that makes you fall in love with cooking.

The manufacturers claim that the delay timer works for up to 12 hours, and as a busy person who needs to feed people, I was always in need of such a feature where I didn’t need to be physically present to start the process.

To test this feature, I selected the delay timer option for after 4 hours and went to work.

After 5 hours, I came back to check on my food, and it was cooked perfectly and smelled so good.

The keep-warm feature kicked in as soon as cooking was done, so the food was also piping hot even after the shutdown.

SIZE:

  • This 3-quart small pot is perfect for individual portions and serves 2-3 people.
  • It is ideal for small families and students who don’t have a lot of storage space but always love to have nutritious and delicious home-cooked meals.
  • The small size also works perfectly for a traveler, and you can carry it around in your car.
  • Plug it wherever you see a power source and cook your favorite meals without the hassle of finding a stove.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • The prepAmeal pot is time and energy efficient and a very safe-to-use appliance.
  • It saves around 70% of your cooking time and reduces your power usage by 50%.
  • This pot is equipped with a micro-computer chip that can automatically adjust and resolve the whole process, controlling it effectively and solving any problem that might come in the way of a smooth cooking process.
  • This feature makes prepAmeal a lot safer than the traditional pots and pressure cookers and saves you from any kind of burning hazards.
  • The inner pot is made up of nonstick material and is very easy to remove to provide easy cleaning.
Pros
  • Quick and easy cooking process.
  • Equipped with microcomputer chip which automatically detects any kind of problem in the pot and resolves it.
  • Delay timer and keep warm function are ideal for working people.
  • The multi-use pressure cooker accessories include an ice paddle, measuring cup, and instruction manual.
  • They also provide 1 year manufacturer warranty and 30 days return.
Cons
  • The gasket and sealing ring might get worn out quickly, so they would need timely replacements.
  1. Cuisinart 6-Quart Electric Pressure Cooker:

The brand name is enough itself to ensure you about the high quality of their products.

Cuisinart pressure cookers provide you with the best and easiest way to cook your comfort foods without taking a lot of your time and mental energy.

Pressure cooking is an excellent method to enhance your cooking experience, and for that, the Cuisinart 6 quart pressure cooker is considered as the ideal cooker for everything a family needs.

It is one of the top-selling cooker brands for people who prefer aluminum or nonstick inner pots over stainless steel ones.

It is important to not just settle with any pressure cooker you have at your home but to evaluate it properly and see if it’s perfect for your needs and chores.

Cuisinart works the best and is an ideal pressure cooker that reduces my cooking time and gives me hearty and nutritious meals for my family.

The Cuisinart electric pressure cooker is great for a weeknight, set it and forget it while it’s cooking.

I put it on the counter behind my cutting board and start feeding in ingredients – brown the meat, sauté the vegetables, add some stock, lock the lid, and set the timer.

At that point, I can walk away and do all the other chores in my home that need my attention.

Cuisinart CPC 600N1 is the perfect pressure cooker for a small family where you need to have some relaxing time with your favorite foods.

DESIGN:

The Cuisinart is a very simple to use a pot which is made and designed for easy operation and comprehension.

It doesn’t have a lot of confusing buttons and options, and the manufacturers have kept it simple by not adding many features and options on the pot.

The cooker has an exterior body of stainless steel with a nonstick inner pot designed for easy cleaning.

The LED panel displays a timer and 6 options, including low pressure, high pressure, sauté, simmer, browning, and keep warm.

This pot works amazing for soups and broths which need cooking at high pressures, and the use of this pressure cooker will reduce the time that is usually required for simmering soups and broths.

This cooker has an attractive thing with it is the push-button which controls the cooking options and also programmed settings.

This button gives an impressive look to the stove by making it attractive.

The programmed environments which the switch can control are Low and High Pressure, Simmer, Browning, Auto Keep Warm Settings, and Saute.

PERFORMANCE:

This pot is also a lifesaver for multitasking. Whenever you’re cooking dishes, just put in your leftover chicken carcass with some water, onions, bay leaves, and seasoning and let it simmer for an hour.

After an hour, you will be done with the dishes, and your stock or broth will be ready to be used in so many dishes.

When trying it out, I noticed that this pot isn’t as noisy as the other cookers and only makes a bit of noise when pressure is venting.

Making soup had never been easier for me before this pot came in.

I just use some of my premade chicken stock and add in other ingredients like vegetables and mushrooms and let it simmer for around 1 hour, and the soup that usually takes me around 3-4 hours is done only in 1 hour.

This pot is also very time efficient. When the timer is done after an hour, the cooker cuts off the heat, stops taking any more power, and enters the keep warm mode.

After entering the keep warm mode, it releases the pressure slowly and takes around 10 minutes to release all the pressure. The packaging also comes with a steaming rack which allowed me to cook two types of food simultaneously in the pot.

It’s like steaming vegetables for sides on the top rack while your main course cooks on the bottom, and in just half of the time, you will have two dishes ready.

SIZE:

  • The pot has an incredible and perfect volume of 6 quarts which is optimum for you if you dint have a large family and only cook for 5-6 people daily.
  • For a 6-quart pot, this definitely doesn’t weight as much.

SAFETY MEASURES:

This model includes a lot of safety mechanisms and features to ensure a safe operation for all its users. These mechanisms include;

  • Open/Close Lid Safety Device – Unit will not begin pressurizing until the lid is properly closed and locked.
  • Pressure Control Device – Automatically maintains correct pressure during the cooking cycle.
  • Pressure Limit Valve – Releases air automatically if pressure inside exceeds the preset temperature.
  • Anti-Block Cover – Protects pressure limit valve from being blocked by food particles.
  • Pressure Relief Device – When maximum allowable pressure is reached, the cooking pot moves down until the lid separates from the sealing ring to release air.
  • Thermostat – automatically shuts off power when the cooking pot reaches preset temperature or if cooking pot is empty.
  • Thermal Fuse – The circuit will open when the cooker gets to maximum temperature.

The best performance can summarize my final verdict about this pot in quickly cooking up soups and stews and reducing a lot of my cooking time. In winters, I crave soups and stews all the time, and now, with the help of this amazing pot, I can make soups all week long.

Pros
  • The cooker has a cup and a full spoon inside the stove, which is versatile to use.
  • Comes with a metal bowl with a nonstick surface which does not stick food to the base of the cooker easily, and if something is burnt washing, it is straightforward.
  • The Cuisinart pressure cooker manual of the cooker is easy to read and has the detail instructions on how to cook and how maintain it.
Cons
  • Not ideal for frying or cooking oily things.
  1. Presto Precise 10-Quart Multi-use Pressure Cooker:

Do you have more than 5 family members or a platoon of family and friends always gathered at your house, making it your duty to feed everyone?

You are not only going to be faced with many challenges, but the biggest challenge will be deciding the portions of your food and the ingredients and recipes you’re about to cook.

For all this, you need to invest in a multicooker which has a huge volume of up to 10 quarts.

Don’t fret, as we have you covered with one of my favorite multicooker, Presto Precise 10 Quarts.

Since the debut of presto in the pressure cooking industry, it has made a mark for itself by providing top-notch service and quality and satisfying its customers by every means.

With the presto precise, cooking large batches of your favorite meal is just one button away.

If you have never used a pressure cooker before, you should give it a try.

It can integrate up to 19 different programs for users.

It offers the most settings of any pressure cooker we’ve tested.

This pot is sure to replace up to 10 different pots and pans in your kitchen as it will definitely do the works of a rice maker, steamer, yogurt maker, and brown, keep warm, and delay cooking.

It also amazingly cooks meat and poultry for you and browns them as meal prep with the sauté function’s help.

DESIGN:

Often you have to choose between a more aesthetically pleasing single-function appliance and a more digital modern cooker with a massive ugly console.

But the presto precise is functional as well as pleasing to look at. It consists of a stylish, sleek, stainless steel black body with lime-colored accents.

Unlike the other multicookers, the presto features a dial knob display with start-stop buttons and a digital timer instead of having a touchscreen display.

With the help of the dial, you can choose any kind of feature in the pot by rotating the knob and starting to select the desired option.

PERFORMANCE:

For the functionality part, this pot features up to 19 accessible options, which are easy to reach by screwing the dial and rotating it.

The 19 options and presets expose you to an endless world of limitless options and experimentations in cooking different styles of food.

Apart from these, this pot also contains specialized functions for cooking ribs, poultry, seafood, soups, and even desserts.

When trying out the fantastic functions of this pot, I decided to cook some jasmine rice in the pot, which I usually cook in my daily routine and is pretty simple to cook.

According to the detailed instructions manual provided by the manufacturers, I just have to fill in the pot with 3 cups of rice with an equivalent amount of water and choose the rice making preset.

This pot cooked rice in just 20 minutes, considering its size and how much time a pot this size would take to build pressure.

The rice came out all fluffy and cooked nicely, and they were very aromatic and tasted even better than when I cooked them on stovetops.

This cooker’s inner pot is stainless steel, making it even easier to clean once you’ve finished cooking your favourite meal.

Using a dividing rack, you can cook two separate dishes at once in this pot, and using a trivet, you can simply bake cakes in this pot.

This pot cooks food 70% faster and thus saves lots of power than the traditional methods.

SIZE:

  • The large 10-quart capacity can easily fit a whole turkey inside this big thing, let alone a small chicken.
  • Its big inner space is ideal for sautéing and browning meat and vegetables.
  • The large size is perfect for you if you have a large family and love hosting lunches and dinners at your place.
  • Even with the big size and volume, this pot builds pressure inside in no time.

SAFETY FEATURES:

  • The pot contains up to 9 safety mechanisms, including the lid-locking system and natural pressure release.
  • It also has a cover locking system where the lid shuts into place automatically without having to screw it around endlessly.
  • It also has an alert system if anything goes wrong with the food in the pot.
  • For instance, if the food is burning, the pot will shut off the power and stop working all by itself.
  • It also has a smart temperature sensor which detects any kind of abnormal temperature rise and controls it all by itself.
  • In my opinion, if you need to get out of the kitchen at the earliest and still need to cook a lot of food for your guests, then this pot is definitely ideal as it performs amazingly in cooking food while being energy and time-efficient.
Pros
  • Elegant black stainless steel design.
  • Pumps that operate automatically.
  • Dishwasher-friendly.
  • Most advanced programmable options.
  • Suitable for cooking big quantities of meat.
  • Set the temperature to high or low.
  • Various recipes require different settings.

  1. Luby Electric Pressure Cooker 6 Qt:

Say good bye to long, laborious hours of standing in the kitchen for hours while your stovetop pots and pans make a mess in your kitchen.

Say hello to the innovation of the future and welcome the smart Luby electric cooker into your home.

This multi cooker allows you to cook any kind of food you want in an easy and quick way.

This pot is specially made for you to make your life easier, and with its 17 smart functions, you can just select your favorite option, and in no time, your food will be cooked perfectly, ready for you to enjoy.

Compared to traditional pots, Luby Electric Pressure Cooker is specifically designed to reduce your cooking hours in the kitchen.

Also, with such a perfect size, you can either fill the pot or just cook less amount of food which won’t be possible in a smaller pressure cooker.

DESIGN:

Luby is yet another sleek and stylish smart programming pot which comes in a bright red color with a black lid and a black base.

The amazing color will bring a pop of brightness into your kitchen and will certainly make cooking more fun.

The beautiful color of this pot makes it perfect for a wedding gift as well.

The inner pot is comprised of nonstick material that is USFD approved, while the inner body is stainless steel.

Apart from the beautiful hue, the pot includes a large LED console panel which is filled with useful options and buttons which facilitate you in choosing your desired preset without having to roam around in circles.

The panel features a big red timer screen and 17 smart programmable options for you to choose from.

PERFORMANCE:

With 17 easily accessible and functional options, cooking in this pot has got to be a dream come true.

Its multiple options include rice maker, steam, soups, ribs, chicken, cake, bake, slow cook, pressure cook, sauté, vegetables, multigrain, beans, porridge, canning, sous vide, and keep warm.

The manufacturers have definitely gone all out with the features as not all the smart cookers are equipped with canning options and sous vide options.

As this pot allows us to experiment with our recipes and gives us unlimited options to choose from, I decided to cook an easy peasy beef stew which usually takes around 5 hours to cook in a normal pot and even 10 hours to cook in a slow cooker.

Both of those techniques produce perfect beef stew but let’s see if the Luby presents us with the same taste but in even reduced time.

Using the sauté option, I browned my beef slices and also cooked the onions for a bit before adding the rest of the ingredients, such as water and spices.

It took around 5 minutes for the beef and onions to sauté, and the large inner pot makes it so very easy for me to Saute or stir any kind of food in the pot.

I selected the beef preset in the pot, and according to the instructions manual, it’s supposed to cook for only 45 minutes, and that seems a bit unrealistic to me, but I’m open to trying anything.

After 45 minutes, the bell went off, and the pressure started releasing.

This pot gives you a choice between quick release and natural release, so I went for the natural release option and let it vent for around 10 minutes.

After the pressure was released and the lid opened, the pot was filled with sweet aromas, and the stew seemed to be cooked perfectly.

And upon tasting, I could feel that all the flavors were boosted and enhanced, and it gave it a nice texture.

SIZE:

  • This cooker comes in the ideal size of 6 quarts which is perfect for a family of 4-5 people.
  • This 6-quart pot is here to replace up to 9 of your daily usage appliances and save loads of counter space.
  • The stew I cooked in this pot was enough for 5-6 people and yielded 8 servings.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • As a safety measure, the lid does not open until the pressure is reduced significantly, so do not try opening it forcefully.
  • The inner pot also adheres to the body of the pot, so it does not move when you’re stirring anything in the pot.
  • Its exhaust valves and venting buttons are designed on the opposite sides of the lid to save your hands from burning by steam.
  • Overall, the Luby smart cooker will be a great addition to your kitchen appliances, and its user-friendly features will provide you with a smooth hands-off cooking experience.
Pros
  • Food comes out tender and juicy in a lot less time.
  • 17-in-1 smart programmable features.
  • Inner pot is dishwasher safe.
  • Beautiful and sleek red exterior.
Cons
  • The quality might be a bit lower than other leading brands.
  1. GoWISE USA 9.5-Qt 12-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker:

In a time of fast paces and busy schedules, no one has the time to sit around and cook long and meticulous food for themselves or for their families.

Even then, we all need food which is healthy, nutritious, and cooked quickly, and GoWISE USA Ovate 9.5 is here to present us with the most effective solution for all our cooking problems.

If you’re someone who doesn’t enjoy cooking as it is an exhausting process, then join the club as cooking definitely requires you to put all your energy in.

GoWISE is the right choice for people who want to spend less time in the kitchen and spend more quality time with their families.

The ovate pot is the latest innovation developed by manufacturers.

It is promised to satisfy all your needs when it comes to cooking multiple kinds of dishes in a limited time.

This interesting pressure cooker has a lot going on with a 12-in-1 system.

This includes modes for slow cooking, rice dishes, steaming, eggs, yogurt, and more.

You also get helpful features like the keep warm function, the cool-touch handles, and a book with 50 recipes in it.

The inner pot is also comprised of stainless steel, ensuring long life and durability.

DESIGN:

The most interesting thing about this pot, which caught my attention, is the new oval shape.

It’s not in a round base shape like the other pots, and that is because the oval shape adds a lot to its productivity.

The oval shape actually maximizes the surface area, which will be used for cooking, and you can even place a whole chicken in the pot without any issue.

This pot comes in a stainless steel exterior which makes it super stylish and trendy, and the LED interface on the front is also very accessible and functional.

The pot has 12 features, all combined into one beautiful multi cooker which allows you to cook multiple dishes.

PERFORMANCE:

This pot is said to reduce your energy consumption by up to 50%, and I have tried other products from GoWISE, and they do work amazing overall and are quite fast and speedy when it comes to pressure cooking.

The functioning of this pot is quite similar to its siblings, and it does what it expected from it.

Pressure cooking is a very quick process with amazing results, so I went in trying this pot with really high expectations.

Decided to go with a relatively easy trial and thought of making split pea soup in my GoWISE ovate cooker.

The split pea soup is actually a very time-consuming process and sometimes takes a whole day to simmer.

I expect this pot to cook the soup in less than 2 hours and make it delicious as well.

For the soup, I washed and peeled the split peas and added them to the pot with lots of water and other ingredients and, according to a recipe I found online for this pot, allowed it to cook for up to 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The timer and pressure adjusting buttons are quite easy to understand on the LED panel, and I was able to select my customized levels without a lot of difficulties.

After the timer was up, the pressure was released through the vent, and my soup seemed to be cooked really nicely.

SIZE:

  • This large pressure cooker has up to 8 quarts of cooking capacity.
  • This cooker can cook enough food for a large family of up to 8 people, and now your entire family can enjoy hot and hearty meals together without waiting for hours.
  • Even though it’s a bit large in capacity and takes up some space, all the features you’re getting in this pot are definitely worth the hassle.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • Oval pot comes with cool-touch handles to remove the pot safely and easily pour contents into another bowl or container.
  • This cooker has another unique safety system built into it, and that is the automatic lid-locking mechanism.
  • In which the lid locks automatically and doesn’t open until the pressure has been released through the valve.
  • As of yet, I have no complaints with the GoWISE ovate cooker, and I only have wonderful things to say about it because it saves a significant amount of time and energy.
Pros
  • The oval shape could make a big difference for certain dishes.
  • There are lots of different functions and recipes to try.
  • It comes with plenty of accessories.
  • There is enough safety feature.
Cons
  • It might take a lot of space in your kitchen.
  1. CUCKOO 5QT. Premium 8-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker:

Rice cooking and pressure cooking have always been tricky when it comes to getting the rations and timings right.

The Cuckoo 5 Qt Premium Electric Pressure Cooker is the latest innovative product launched by a globally trusted brand.

This pot comes with the claim that it will make cooking faster and easier for you.

I’m already the biggest fan of innovative kitchen appliances and always-improving technology.

This pressure cooker is supposed to be one of the trendiest and most modern cooker out there. That is why we had to go and try this out.

This multi cooker is the best appliance for creating healthy and delicious meals in restrained time.

The pot has a steaming function that lets you use the stovetop for cooking meat, vegetables, or eggs while the rice cooks in an adjacent pot.

The pressure-cooking function means your food will be ready in minutes!

When it comes to food quality and appliances, nothing compares to Cuckoo!

Its strict quality-control measurement ensures healthcare is just as important as cooking.

It offers flawless cuisine and quick cooker times.

The Cuckoo touts 8 different cooking modes 1: Soup, Meat, Vegetables, Rice, Porridge, Slow Cook, Browning Fry, and Steam Cook.

How awesome is that?

One cooker performs many cooking functions instead of having to use many different appliances. Let’s have a look!

DESIGN:

The cuckoo pressure cooker is a simplistic white pot with golden accents on the lid and base, giving it quite a unique look and differentiating it from the other cookers available in only metallic silver.

The front interface of this pot is also very minimalist and does not contain a lot of options which might confuse an amateur.

The LED is modern, and user-friendly with simple presets and allows you to choose from various 8 different options.

This cooker is loaded with user-friendly features and can replace 8 small appliances in your kitchen.

The inner pot is made up of high-quality nonstick material, and the exterior is made up of high-quality stainless steel and aluminum, which provides excellent heat distribution.

The pot is well constructed and weighty, and also the inner pot has handles that make it very easy to lift.

PERFORMANCE:

This cooker might replace your whole kitchen shelf with its all-in-one 8 features and multi cooker function.

The appliance also works as a yogurt maker, rice maker, sous vide, brown or sauté, steamer, warmer, soup maker, pressure cooker, and slow cooker.

That’s a lot of cooking functions in just one compact kitchen appliance.

I love Cuckoo’s product tagline, “I Cook, You Rest.” It’s so cute and sounds like something your personal chef would say if you’re lucky enough to have one.

Perhaps with the Cuckoo, cooking is so easy; it’s almost like having a personal chef.

To test out my new Cuckoo, I made a batch of jasmine white rice.

After selecting “RICE” from the Menu and pushing the “COOK” button, the friendly female voice said, “Starting the Rice.”

Later the chipper voice announced, “Steaming is starting.”

Steam was then released through the valve in the lid. 4 minutes later, the voice announced, “Rice is complete.” followed by the Cuckoo song.

The total cooking time was 31 minutes. The results: perfectly cooked and fluffy jasmine white rice.

This pot also has a very unique and interactive user feature where a female voice guides you through the process and every stage that the cooker enters.

It’s really whimsical that the cheery voice will announce after clicking on any button.

The smart voice guide kept announcing the actions like steam is starting throughout the cooking process.

This is a very interesting feature, and probably in the future, Cuckoo will enable us to just talk to our multi cookers.

After you are done with the cooking process, another unique function of this pot will help you in cleaning, and that is the auto steam cleaning feature.

After rinsing the pot, you just need to fill the pot with water halfway, close the lid and start the auto-clean function.

This mode takes just 15 minutes.

It was an easy way to sanitize the pot before cooking any food and to test and make sure everything was in working order.

SIZE:

  • The cuckoo 5-quart cooker is a midsized kitchen appliance that is not very bulky or weighty.
  • Its ideal egg-shaped base makes it look sleek and modern.
  • The 5-quart option is perfect for a medium family and if you have only 4-5 people in your home.
  • It’s not too bulky, so you can easily store it in any of your kitchen cabinets and pull it out whenever you want.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • The technology geek in me loves the Digital-Programmed Steam Release Valve, which releases steam automatically when cooking is done or during the Keep Warm mode.
  • I also noticed that the inner pot handles are visible when the lid is closed.
  • The sides of the cooker are notched out for the handles.
  • This clever design allows you to carry the cooker if needed.
  • The other neat thing about the handles is it’s made of hard plastic instead of metal, so they won’t get super-hot during cooking.
  • The cooker has a stainless-steel detachable cover, making it easy to remove and clean. Simply pull on the grey silicone knob to separate the cover from the lid.
Pros
  • Time and energy conservative.
  • Multi-menu functions.
  • Automatic warming feature.
  • Auto steam cleaning function.
  • Voice automated guide, which keeps the user interacting.
  • Easy to clean.
Cons
  • The outer part requires cleaning often due to color.
  1. Presto 02141 6-Quart Electric Pressure Cooker:

If there’s one thing in this world, which we always want to preserve and never have enough of, it, is time.

That is why we prefer easy takeaway meals during our day and reserve slow-cooked meals for special occasions.

But what if I tell you, now you can have all those special meals even mid-week and that too in a healthier way.

Thankfully, electric pressure cookers are invented for that same exact reason, and they will speed up your cooking process by cooking your food under high heat and high pressure.

Presto features a stainless steel, metallic silver pot with a black base and lid.

The lid includes locked and removed markers for easy closing and opening of the lid.

The lid also features a steam vent which releases steam after the food is cooked.

The front of the cooker consists of a LED touch panel with a digital timer and 19 functions that are one-touch operated.

The interface and the whole design of this pot are pretty easy to understand and operate.

PERFORMANCE:

The presto pressure cooker is one of the best-rated products on Amazon and other online websites, and I rarely found a bad review about it.

Most of its consumers were more than satisfied with the features it offers, and they were even more pleased with its overall performance.

The cooker claims to cook your food in less than an hour and also to tenderize big cuts of meat in less than an hour, and we put the presto cooker to the test.

The thing I decided to cook was a simple beef sirloin steak, which is a weekend food in my house, and usually, I cook beef steaks to try out new cookers.

The recipe for cooking the steak is as easy as it can get.

The main thing I did first was to sauté or stir the steak to get the browning effect on the outside.

After that, I filled the pot with enough broth to cook the steak and added loads of herbs, seasonings, and butter.

According to the recipe manual, I needed first to select the high pressure preset and then select the meat option on the pot and adjust the timer as per my steak.

I decided to cook my steak for 20 minutes on high pressure, and after that, the natural steam release mode kicked in, and it took about 10-12 minutes for the steam to release fully.

After that, I checked the steak, and it was tender to the core, cooked beautifully, and had an amazing taste.

This pot sure fulfills the promise of quick and easy cooking.

I also received a metal rack with the package, and that can be easily used for cooking more than one dish in the pot at the same time, saving more of your time and power.

SIZE:

  • This pot has a cooking capacity of 6 quarts which can ideally feed up to 5 people in your family.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • The pot comes with 8 built-in safety features and also includes 1 year extended warranty.
  • Among the built-in safety features of the Presto Pressure Cooker is that it comes with a cover locking mechanism.
  • This allows pressure to build inside the cooker for as long as the cover is securely closed.
  • The cover locking mechanism also prevents the cover from getting opened until such time that the pressure reaches a safe level.
  • But just like with using any kitchen appliances, the level of safety will mainly depend upon the user.
  • Regardless of the brand or model of pressure cooker that you will buy, you must read the instructions well before using them and make sure you follow these instructions to ensure safety.
Pros
  • Best value for your money as it costs under 100$.
  • Modern cooking techniques in a conventional electric cooker.
  • Easy to clean, and the inner pot is dishwasher safe.
  • Doesn’t need much counter space.
Cons
  • No delay cooking feature or yogurt making feature.
  • The inner pot is nonstick material.
  1. Insignia- 8-Quart Multi-Function Pressure Cooker:

Pressure cookers and the concept around them have been around us for centuries.

Today’s pressure cookers are a much evolved and technologically modern form of the noisy and rattling cookers of the past.

And because of this, they have gained massive popularity with newer generations and people who don’t have a lot of time on their hands.

As a result, there was a massive explosion of pressure cooker brands in the market.

Insignia is a widespread brand that offers a wide variety of different-sized pots, which are all unique in their functions.

One of the best sellers from insignia is their 8-quart multi-function pressure cooker which is made up of high-grade stainless steel.

With an Insignia Pressure Cooker, you’ll no longer have to be nervous about the heat settings in the different recipes that you may follow.

Its multiple cooking modes and digital programming make cooking any dish simple and hassle-free.

You can use it as a pressure cooker and a slow cooker for a wide variety of foods, which will all retain their taste and nutrients.

It’s dishwasher safe and extremely easy to clean.

The shorter cooking time also saves you time in preparing meals.

With foods cooking up to 70% faster in a pressure cooker, it’s a handy tool after a long and tiring day at work.

With Insignia Pressure Cooker, you can quickly whip up a tasty and nutritious meal.

Just throw in all the ingredients, and it’ll be ready by the time that you’ve tidied up the kitchen and set the table, or even better, had a refreshing shower and relaxed.

DESIGN:

The design of this pot is again very simple and basic and will be easily understood by any beginner.

The exterior body is made up of stainless steel.

Despite its ample volume, Insignia Pressure Cook still manages to look sleek and compact, and it does not occupy space in the kitchen.

And with its attractive stainless-steel body, you won’t mind it out on display.

The rest of the materials used are equally durable, of high quality, and BPA-free.

The cooking pot is designed as a dishwasher-safe non-stick Teflon.

The front features a touch-operated LED panel, and the LED panel showcases a digital timer and 12 preset cooking functions.

PERFORMANCE:

The qualities and performances and where the insignia cooker ranks in terms of functionality can only be determined by testing out the pressure cooker and seeing if it stands up to the quality claim their manufacturers make.

To test this out, we decided to execute a pressure cooker chicken recipe which is so simple to make but is supposed to be power-packed with taste and nutrients.

I chose to make steamed chicken spaghetti as this recipe is very easy and simple but includes all the richness of a hearty meal.

Firstly, I filled the pot with liquid according to the rule of thumb and placed all my ingredients in the pot.

I just had to make sure that I didn’t overfill my pot.

I decided to steam cook the spaghetti for up to 30 minutes with all the ingredients so that the chicken is also cooked well and there are no raw spots.

In just 30 minutes, my steamed spaghetti was ready to eat and cooked perfectly with all the ingredients.

The insignia pot does save a lot of time, and because of the time reduction, the food ends up being more nutritious and flavorful and enhances its natural richness.

With its automatic cooking mode, you can even prepare it before and set it to be ready for when you return home or at a time to suit others in the household.

With less time monitoring the food, the shorter cooking time means that you get more time to communicate and connect with loved ones and guests.

Or just to spend on rest, relaxation, or leisure activities.

SIZE:

  • All these benefits add up to the fact that this 8-quart pot is ideal for cooking for large families and a lot of people.
  • It also has a 6-quart model, which is ideal for smaller families.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • Insignia has up to 7 safety measures built in.
  • According to the user manual, they provide a lid lock, venting system, automatic pressure release, overheat protection, protection for the valve, and a gasket to seal the lid.
  • The handles also remain cool at all times, another of its safety features.
  • It allows you to cook with precision and reassurance; without you having to rely on intuition.
  • The LCD clearly shows the temperature that is set and lets you make changes using custom settings.
  • The pot also allows you to delay your timer by 24 hours, and after you’re done cooking, the automatic keep-warm mode kicks in, and the best part about this is the pot is dishwasher safe.
Pros
  • It works great, and it truly makes cooking simpler with so many presets.
  • Meals are so much quicker and healthier.
  • You can actually taste the difference in your food.
  • Wonderful quality at a great price. Highly recommended.
  • Every family needs one!
Cons
  • Insufficient user manual, which is a bit incomprehensive.
  1. Ninja FD401 Foodi 12-in-1 Pressure Cooker & Air Fryer:

Pressure cookers can do almost anything, but they can’t get foods crispy.

The Ninja Foodi attempts to rectify this with a unique air crisping feature, which allows you to finish off meats and veggies with a short crisping cycle.

In 2019, ninja came up with their latest and the most innovative cooker, Ninja Foodi Deluxe 8 Qt Pressure Cooker and Air Fryer.

This multi cooker doubles as an air fryer and a pressure cooker to give you the best of both worlds.

This pot can also work like a convection oven, dehydrator, roaster, steamer, and slow cooker.

If you think you’ll air fry and dehydrate frequently and like the idea of being able to get a crispy skin on your chicken, the Foodi may be a good choice.

DESIGN:

The stainless steel exterior is pretty and looks more sleek and sophisticated.

The enhanced user interface features a large center dial that makes setting the time and temperature easier.

Like the other pots, ninja Foodi is very easy to operate, and all of its functions are similar to the other brands of a pressure cookers.

The LED panel offers 12 functional presets, which can help you with so many things in the kitchen, and you can slow cook, pressure cook, bake, roast, steam, crisp, and do so much more in just one pot.

For the air frying option, the manufacturers have provided a separate crisping lid and a 5-quart frying basket as well.

PERFORMANCE:

When I first received the Foodi, the pot seemed a bit intimidating to me that one pressure cooker is able to perform two opposite functions.

This pot is definitely a perfect replacement for two big appliances in my kitchen.

The first thing I cooked in my Foodi was a roast chicken.

I used the recipe that was in the recipe book that is included with the Foodi.

The recipe called for a 4 to 5 pound chicken.

The smallest chicken my store had was 5.5 lbs.

It was a little bit too tall for the Foodi, but it fit in the crisping basket fine.

The recipe called for cooking it in the Cook and Crisp Basket.

It’s great that the basket is included with the Foodi.

The holes in the bottom of the basket make it great for pressure steaming food, as well as crisping up food using the crisping lid.

I added the other ingredients in the basket along with my chicken and let it pressure cook for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, I was stunned to see how the skin got crispy in such little time with the chicken cooked perfectly from the inside.

SIZE:

  • The larger 8-quart cooking pot comes with a 5-quart Cook & Crisp basket.
  • I love that it lets you cook for a bigger group.
  • The 8-qt. The cooking pot is nonstick and easy to hand-wash.
  • The 5-quart Cook & Crisp basket is ceramic-coated, dishwasher safe, and holds up to a 7-pound chicken.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • The ninja Foodi deluxe boasts an automatic venting lid system, and instead of running to the kitchen in a hurry, the machine does it for you.
  • It also offers three modes of pressure release; natural, quick, and delayed, so that you can choose the one you’re most comfortable with.
  • The lid also seals automatically to the pot without you having to do anything.
  • If you are someone that can cook regularly, then this is a must-have.
  • It is hard to understand why anyone would want to pass up the opportunity to have a device that can cook different types of foods that involve different cooking processes.
Pros
  • All-in-one Smart Lid, so no more switching, and it consumes less space.
  • Steam/pressure cook and air fry simultaneously (Steam Crisp & Steam Bake).
  • Hands-free venting.
  • Touchscreen control panel.
Cons
  • The timer displays countdowns in minutes and seconds, not in hours and minutes.
  • A bit heavy and bulky.
  1. CUCKOO 6QT. 8-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker:

We are here with yet another pressure cooker from the elite brand cuckoo, and this pot is a bit bigger in size with so many more modifications and advancements.

These updates make this brand trustworthy and can satisfy the customer’s desire for modern kitchen gadgets.

The cuckoo pressure cookers are famous around the world, and all for the right reasons.

Whatever kind of cooker you buy from their brand, you will never be disappointed and always have the perfect quality and capacity for all your pressure cooking needs.

This pot is an upgrade from the other models and includes 8 smart preset options, and the voice assistant guide is another unique and interactive feature.

The guide can speak in 3 languages, English, Korean and Chinese.

This pot is also very sturdy and strong in the build that can handle a lot of food.

Whether you’re a beginner or an expert chef, the cuckoo is the ultimate choice for all your kitchen needs.

Cuckoo pressure cookers have multiple built-in features in them as well, which enables them to perform more than one function, and they can slow cook, pressure cook, steam, sauté, and so much more.

DESIGN:

The Cuckoo 6-quart pressure cooker is a simple and very easy-to-use cooker available in beautiful shades of white and gold.

The pot I ordered came in the gold color, and needless to say, the metallic gold gives it a very beautiful finish.

The front interface has a bright red LED panel along with a rotating knob and start stop buttons.

The LED touch screen includes 8 cooking functions which is very helpful for people who don’t have a lot of pots and pans in their home for specific techniques.

The inner pot is made up of nonstick material and has a cooking capacity of 5 quarts.

The touch panel also has 14 menu options, and these are pre allotted presets for different kinds of dishes where the timer and pressure limit are already designated.

The LED panel also shows a digital timer and temperature bar, which is amazing if you want to keep a check on your pot’s inner temperature.

PERFORMANCE:

The package includes a rice measuring cup and a rice paddle, which will easily enable you to get the measurements perfect every time.

See, this is the only problem I ever have with pressure cookers, and that is the water to ingredients ratio, and the manual guide is not as much helpful either sometimes.

But as I kept reading the cuckoo’s manual, it was pretty clear and comprehensible about the recipes and the parts of this pot.

The pot includes 8 functions of cooking, featuring slow cook, rice cook, pressure cook, yogurt maker, sous vide, steam, sauté, and food warmer (reheating) option.

I also really wanted to make use of the 14 menu presets on the digital panel as it makes it easy for you to cook any kind of meat, soup, pasta, vegetables, or rice.

I decided to try out my favorite one-pot spaghetti with butter sauce and chicken in this pot.

All I had to do was sauté the chicken and butter firstly and then pour in my vegetable stock along with more butter, seasonings, and spaghetti and seal the lid by twisting in a clockwise direction.

There are two little markers on the pot that help you align the correct position of the lid, so it seals properly.

As the lid closed, I selected the pasta preset from the options, and the timer started working.

The pressure buildup with the temperature increase started showing on the temperature bar.

Throughout the whole process, the cheery voice of the voice guide kept assisting me and informing me of each and every step.

After 20 minutes, the voice announced that the cooking was done.

I went to check on my food, and my spaghetti was cooked al dente.

The sauce was rich and velvety, and full of flavor.

The pot definitely reduced a lot of my time which has gone into meal prep and cooking the spaghetti.

My prep time was usually around 45 minutes, but this whole cooking procedure in the cuckoo took only 25 minutes.

The fact that it takes lesser time to complete cooking makes it more energy-efficient as well.

After the cooking, you can fill the pot with water and just select the auto cleaning mode.

The cooker will automatically sanitize your pot with steam and water for the next use.

SIZE:

  • This pot will be perfect for you if you don’t have a lot of storage space in your kitchen and don’t have a lot of people to cook for.
  • Its cooking capacity is 6 quarts which can cook food for up to 5 people.
  • This is a medium-sized cooker that does not take as much counter space as its larger counterparts and also cooks more than enough food for everyone.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • Cook with peace of mind as the pressure rice cooker includes numerous safety features to keep you safe and your device in optimal condition.
  • Some of the safety features include a pressure control device, automatic pressure release valve, lock checking device, pressure regulator, overheat indicator, and more.
  • Like the majority of other cookers from cuckoo, this has a long-term productivity level.
  • They are arguably the best brand going for making rice and ensuring it turns out in a yummy, effective manner.
  • The performance of the model itself is very efficient – it will get your work completed for you, and it won’t take long at all, so long as you follow the cooking instructions for each meal to the letter.
Pros
  • Good for small to medium-sized families.
  • 8 cook settings.
  • Automatic cleaning.
  • Nonstick surface.
  • Pressure control devices.
Cons
  • Lid might take a bit of force to open.
  1. Ninja OL701 Foodi 14-in-1 Pressure Cooker & Steam Fryer:

We would all like to eat properly cooked food which is nutritious as well as it’s delicious.

But as our lives are only getting more and more hectic and busy, it’s very difficult to achieve.

We don’t have any time to wait patiently for our food, and all we want is a quick fix that is also good for our pockets and our health.

The time to prepare something in the kitchen is so rarely available nowadays, and to help ease our cooking problems, pressure cookers are here to save the day.

Electric pressure cookers are a real magic trick for people who love cooking, and when their excellent technology is combined with another out-of-the-world technique, air frying, and steam frying, the appliance just reaches the next level of being your best friend in the kitchen.

You must have heard a lot of hype regarding the Ninja Foodi Smart Pressure Cooker and Steam Fryer when you were searching for air fryers or electric cookers, and let me tell you.

It’s actually worth all the hype it gets.

It combines multiple cooking functions and super-fast cooking time in one convenient appliance, which is loved by all, and we just couldn’t wait to test it out for you guys.

When you own a ninja Foodi cooker + steam fryer, you’re getting rid of three other separate appliances in your kitchen (pressure cooker, slow cooker, and air fryer) and reduce a lot of extra clutter in your kitchen.

DESIGN:

The first thing that impressed me about the Foodi was its exterior.

It has a super trendy, stylish, and sleek metallic black look.

This design is ideal for every kitchen as black goes with everything.

Alongside being an amazing cooker and fryer, it also includes many other options like steam, roast, bake, slow cook, and many others.

Its digital control panel seemed very straightforward and clear to understand to have so many features in one pot.

The easy-to-work-with control panel is an ideal feature for people who like to cook delicious meals without having any special culinary skills.

By the way, if you’re wondering just how the Ninja Foodi works, it’s actually very simple.

There are two lids – the permanently-attached air frying/grilling/baking lid containing a heating element and fan mechanism.

And for the pressure cooking setting and slow cooking, you just have to take the other lid and slide it into place, locking it.

The steam fryer lid just rests there on the pot attached to the hinge joint.

PERFORMANCE:

I heard many positive reviews about this pot’s steam frying and pressure cooking abilities, and that’s why I decided to test it out myself and put things into perspective.

My first instinct was to try the steam fryer function and cook some appetizers in it, which would normally require me to be deep fry them.

As the kids love them, I took out some chicken nuggets and popped them in the pot.

According to the guide, I was supposed to put them in the pot for 10 minutes at 180 degrees, and I did exactly the same.

The air fryer function really couldn’t have been simpler to use.

Step one is ensuring the Tender Crisp air-frying basket is in the Foodi within the main cooking pot.

Step two is to place your food into said basket, and step three is to set your temperature and time using the digital touch display, close the lid, then press Start.

Easy and so fast – great for those busy weekdays.

After 10 minutes, the Foodi gave a beep, and I peeked in to see completely cooked nuggets.

And they even tasted pretty crispy from the outside and soft from the inside.

That is definitely amazing to achieve in just 10 minutes, from frozen to cooked perfectly.

To test out the pressure cooking feature, the ninja Foodi also has an amazing feature where you can steam your veggies at the same time as you’re pressure cooking your meat.

As soon as I got to know about this trick, I placed my cut-up veggies on a steaming rack and my chicken in the bottom of the pot with enough water.

Slide the valve to ‘seal,’ select your cooking time and temperature (‘High’ will do the trick for the majority of meals), and away you go!

After the timer was done, the LED panel displayed a COOL sign, and we took it as a sign that our temperature was cooling down and our meal was ready to be enjoyed.

Releasing the pressure proved to be just as easy as the cooking process had been so far.

All it takes is just to flick the valve to ‘vent’ and watch the impressive column of steam as it releases.

To finish things off, we used the Tender Crisp air fryer to create a lovely crisp skin on our chicken and steamed vegetables, similar to what you might get when roasting or char-grilling.

This was such an easy step. All it involved was removing the pressure lid and lowering the air frying lid, setting the Ninja Foodi to 180°C for approximately 15 minutes, and waiting for it to do its magic.

One final, cheerful beep (and another exclamation of ‘cool’ on display) and our magnificent end-of-week celebratory lunch were complete.

I was thrilled to see that the chicken had developed a fantastic, crisp golden-brown finish yet remained juicy and succulent.

The Ninja Foodi had outdone itself!

SIZE:

  • Another best feature of this pot is its size, and the fact that it’s a larger pot makes it so much easier for us to cook a large batch of foods without going through any hassle.
  • Even with its large size, the pot doesn’t seem to take up as much space as we thought it would.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • The Ninja OL701 comes with 3 pressure release controls that you can choose from in accordance with your preferences.

I feel like this pot is going to fulfill all my expectations and work amazingly well at cooking and tenderizing the beans.

The inner pot is made up of nonstick material, which is very easy to clean after all the cooking.

To try this out, I added 3 cups of black beans in the pot (presoaked, obviously) and then proceeded to add 6 cups of water and a bit of salt for taste.

I started the cooker and set the time for 25 minutes.

As the beans were presoaked, I was sure that they wouldn’t take much time to cook.

The pressure started building in the cooker, and after 2-3 minutes, the cooking timer started.

The experience was completely hands-off and didn’t need any kind of supervision.

After 25 minutes, the timer beeped, and my beans were ready.

They were still a bit crunchy and not mushy.

Perfect for adding in to tacos and burritos and salads.

I think this pot has a much-humanized design, making it very easy to operate, and the given manual also adds a lot to ease my cooking time and efforts.

  1. Instant Pot Ultra 60 Ultra 6 Qt 10-in-1 Pressure Cooker:

If you love using your instant pot duo and instant pot duo plus, then I’m sure you’re going to love their latest and the most tech-savvy sibling as well.

The pot makes sure that we are able to cook food in lesser time with less prep all within the comforts of our own home.

This pot has all the same features that I love, that is, stainless steel inner pot, gasket holder built into the lid, lid holder built into the handle, and easy set-it-and-forget-it pressure cooking.

It’s an Instant Pot, and that makes it a darned good pressure cooker.

This pot is so much better than all the other cookers from the same brand, and it has so many more added features to it that you will end up loving this product more than anything.

The Instant Pot Ultra is designed especially for people who lead a very modern and contemporary life and want their appliances and kitchen to work the same way.

This pot has another amazing option which is steaming, and it enables its user to make many kinds of cakes or eggs in the pot by placing the pan on the steaming rack.

DESIGN:

The instant pot is a very trendy and modern with stylish silver and black designs.

The pot is as easy to use as it can get.

This pot has an improved design than its predecessors, and that distinguishes this pot’s unique capabilities.

The upgrade I noticed first was that the steam release handle was not there, but in fact, an even more convenient pressure release button was located, which just needs you to press it once, and automatically it will perform its function.

It’s also better in build quality and features a stainless steel body and an inner pot made up of the same material.

The LED display of this pot is even more improved and stylish with a bright blue screen, and all the 10 presets listed on either side.

The biggest change with the Ultra is the new dial.

You use the dial to select the cooking program, select the time, and make adjustments.

You turn the dial and press to select a program or make an adjustment to time or other settings.

PERFORMANCE:

The benefits of the new and improved Instant Pot are pretty amazing.

It’s taken on ‘gadget’ territory outside of the kitchen, and it’s safe to say that even someone who prefers tech over the kitchen could appreciate this device’s feature upgrades.

As compared to the rest of the pots, the instant pot ultra is perfectly capable of cooking food 70% faster, and we tested it by cooking lamb ragu instantly in the pot.

As it’s a very difficult recipe that requires a lot of searing, braising, and monitoring on the stovetop.

In the instant pot, sauté onions and meat was the smoothest process I’ve ever had and after that added all the ingredients in the pot and let it cook for around 45 minutes, which was instructed by the manual guide.

My ragu usually cooks in 3-4 hours, and I need to keep a check on it for the whole time. Cooking it in the instant pot ultra was like cooking in a dream.

After setting up the pot and starting the process, I even took a walk outside, and I had never done that when I used a stovetop cooker as it needed constant supervision or it would burn the whole house down.

When I tasted the Lamb Ragu, I damn near shed a tear of joy.

It was very, very good. Just as good as my traditionally cooked one.

In fact, I could hardly tell the difference.

I was able to brown the meat, sauté the sofrito, braise everything, and reduce the sauce all in a single pot.

The steam release button also played a very important role in the quick and safe heat release.

And with the help of the dial knob, I was easily able to select my preprogrammed function and work accordingly to it.

SIZE:

  • I found that the 6qt model was big enough to accommodate just about anything I threw in it.
  • It is also very tall -comparable in size to a medium-sized stockpot. So what it lacks in width, it makes up for in height.
  • The instant pot comes in multiple sizes, but the 6 quart is ideal for people with medium families who like to cook loads of food.
  • I could easily place 2 racks of baby back ribs in the pot and still have space for liquid broth.

SAFETY MEASURES:

  • This pot is certified with 11 built-in safety features, including a release button for safe pressure release.
  • Heat resistant handles which are cool to touch.
  • The Instant Pot brand’s safety, warranty, and functionality combine with extreme modernization in this model along with all the little perks like the drip catcher and the detachable power cord, making this unit a really great model to choose from for experienced pressure cookers and beginners alike.
Pros
  • Customization feature allows you to customize the temperature and pressure. So although it doesn’t have a Sous Vide smart program, you can set it up to sous vide by customizing the pressure level and the temperature.
  • Attractive LED display.
  • Status icons indicate the cooking stage, and the progress bar shows cooking progress.
  • Easy seal and push-button steam release function.
Cons
  • The display panel can be slightly confusing to program because you have to use the knob to scroll through all the various options. It’s pretty simple to use once you get the hang of it.

As easy as snapping a finger.

Now we head to try out the blue diamond electrical and believe me.

I have heard really good reviews about this one, so I know that this is going to be good.

We tried making a creamy risotto in the pot, and for that, I cooked rice in advance, and all I needed to do was add in the stock, seal the lid, which will happen automatically, and select the risotto button, which was found easily.

The pot has many features like delayed cooking, where you can set a timer for your cooking to start when you’re sleeping or at work.

The keep-warm mode also works great for working women as it warms up the precooked food for up to 24 hours.

According to the preset, my risotto was supposed to be done in 15 minutes, and that is exactly how long it took to create that creamy and beautiful dish.

After cooking, the automatic pressure release button releases all the steam, and you can even set a timer for releasing pressure through the same source but after a bit of time interval.

The pot is smooth and flawless to work with and definitely something that I can gift to someone.

What is the Difference Between Air Fryer Vs Pressure Cooker?

Over the last few years, we have seen more and more appliances enter the market, and all of these appliances claim to cook food in a healthier and quicker way.

The arrival of these machines created a new kind of hype in the market.it was no later than people started confusing the technologies and usages of the two appliances. These market stirring appliances were the infamous pressure cooker and air fryer. Even though the air fryer came a lot later than the cookers, it is more technical and modern and consists of more futuristic features, which add to its attractiveness.

But a pressure cooker is something that has been in people’s households for quite a long time and is blindly trusted by its users. Even though it is more of a traditional appliance with not as many modern and technological features, it still serves its customers with the best service. It fulfills their needs by cooking food quickly.

These two kitchen appliances are meant for different specific meals, and is no way they can be a substitute for one another. The pressure cooker is your go-to pot when you need to cook your meal faster in a healthier way. It reduces your cooking time, loss of nutrients, and takes less energy. At the same time, the air fryer is specifically designed to cut back the oil content in your food by 80%.

The main difference between an air fryer and a pressure cooker is that the pressure cooker relies on building inner pressure by creating adequate levels of steam in the pot, raising the boiling point of food, and cooking it faster.

Meanwhile, the air fryer works like a mini convection oven, circulating hot air around the food to cook it.

They are both opposite in functions as the air fryer makes the food more crispy and dry while the cooker cooks food more soft and juicy.

Both of them work pretty fast, but the cooker is especially known for reducing cooking time. The air fryer and pressure cookers have a lot of distinguishing features, whereas some similarities are also found between them.

Here I have written a detailed guide to help you differentiate.

COOKING ABILITIES:

Even though both of the appliances need a high temperature for working, the pressure cooker slowly builds the inner pressure. Whereas the air fryer gradually decreases the pressure, and its temperature depends upon heated air circulation. When working with an air fryer, you can intervene in your food at any time and add or remove ingredients as per your liking, but you cannot do any such thing with a pressure cooker.

SIZE:
